Eye Lift In Dubai
Eye Lift in Dubai is a popular cosmetic procedure that reduces sagging eyelids, removes excess skin, and restores a more youthful appearance. Common questions include recovery time, expected outcomes, candidacy, and procedure safety. Patients who receive expert care and advanced techniques can have refreshed, natural-looking, and rejuvenated eyes.
What Is Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is the medical term for a “eye lift” surgery, otherwise known as eyelid surgery, which is a procedure for the eyelid by dealing with fat pockets and excess tissue that causes drooping eyelids or puffy eyes. Blepharoplasty can really change your look, giving you a refreshed appearance. Dr. Perfect Celebrity is well known for his technique and artistry that produce natural results.
What Blepharoplasty Question To Ask?
First, you want to know if your surgeon has experience and can handle complications. After you’ve proven your qualifications, ask:
- Do I qualify for this procedure, and why?
- Can you tell me exactly how you envision my procedure unfolding? how am I different from the rest?
- How Many Blepharoplasty Procedures Do You Do Per Week?
- Do you have before and after photos of patients?
- How will you be sedated? – How long will it take to recover?
- What are the possible side effects?
- Do you see any incisions?
- Where is the procedure performed and is that facility certified?
Can You Get Surgery To Change Your Eye Shape?
If you’re a good candidate, you can alter the shape of your eyes. One of the most popular procedures in our practice is what we call “Almond eyes,” or “exotic eyes.” The idea is to get a nice natural lift to the outer corners. This form is frequently described as attractive and alluring. Almond eyes can appear youthful, enhance confidence. Many men and women are fortunate to have naturally almond-shaped eyes, but those who do not can have almond eyelid surgery.
How Long Is The Recovery From Eyelid Surgery?
Usually 6-12 days, depending on the volume of the procedure. Most of our patients are back to work in less than 2 weeks. Recovery time varies from patient to patient Some of the time you spend recovering is within your control. Other bits aren’t. Many of our patients go back to work in as early as 4 days but if the goal of the patient is to be discreet, 8 days is better to stay away from work.
It is important to avoid strenuous activity during recovery. Light activity is OK Generally, Smokers beware. Regular smokers are at a higher risk of complications and have a significantly longer healing period.
What To Avoid Before Eyelid Surgery?
Do not take blood thinners such as aspirin, motrin, advil, ibuprofen and Vitamin E prior to surgery.

How To Treat Under Eye Wrinkles After Blepharoplasty?
There are many ways to treat under eye wrinkles, from topical creams to lasers or radio frequency skin tightening (Pelleve).
If you have redundant or excess skin of the eyelids, eyelid surgery may improve the appearance of the skin. In my Dubai practice I often carry out blepharoplasty to remove or reposition fat and excess skin and combine this procedure with the use of the Mixto SX microfractional CO2 laser to improve skin texture and wrinkles.
What Can Be Done? I Am Unhappy With My Blepharoplasty Results
Revision Eyelid Surgery. There are multiple reasons for the altered appearance of your eyes. I routinely do revision eyelid surgery in Dubai for patients who are unhappy with results from other doctors.
I’m an occulofacial eyelid surgeon in Dubai and I can tell you about the importance of properly performed primary surgery. The ‘golden rule’ in revision work is to restore the anatomy so that the eyelids look good and function well to protect the eye.
Lower eyelid retraction may cause exposure of the eyes at night. You want to feel comfortable and confident in your choice of who will do your procedure. Besides eyelid surgery, you have filler options of hyaluronic acid fillers and platelet rich plasma (PRP).
How To Get Rid Of Hollow Eyes?
Hyaluronic acid and platelet rich plasma (PRP) in the correction of tear trough volume Genetics and aging can lead to volume loss of the tear trough area and eyelid-cheek junction. I have had a lot of success with the combination of hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane and PRP (platelet rich plasma).
Our patients have seen improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles under the eyes with platelet rich plasma. I have found that using Hyaluronic Acid and PRP together produces better looking results than Hyaluronic Acid alone.
How To Get Brow Lift Without Surgery? I’m 45 And My Brows Make Me Look Angry.
Botox brow lift to help correct the position of the brows to achieve a more relaxed appearance. I do this for my patients in my practice and find they look natural and many have commented they actually feel better.
I’m A 35 Year Old African-American Male – Am I A Candidate For Transconjunctival Blepharoplasty With CO2 Fraxel?
I have done a lot of surgery on eye bags in ethnic skin. In my experience I would not recommend laser or skin removal for someone your age.
The options you are considering are not desirable because of the risk of discoloration from the laser and a line of incision that can be seen below the eyelashes. I have done Pelleve Skin Tightening radio frequency skin tightening under the eyes. Safe for all skin types.
I would suggest considering just the transconjunctival blepharoplasty and decide to tighten your skin after the surgery, in which you will probably not need to have a skin tightening procedure. This transconjunctival procedure which I do all the time in my practice in Dubai means that my patients don’t have any external scar and have a natural look.
Eye Shape Surgery To Make My Eyes More Masculine?
Male Eyelid Lift Surgery for a “More Masculine” Look. An important issue in selecting an eye plastic surgeon for male blepharoplasty is that this specialist should be able to distinguish the techniques used in male blepharoplasty from those used in female blepharoplasty. Men should keep their manly image, not the more stereotypical feminine outcome.
A man’s eyes may be described as feminine if they are round or doll-like in appearance. In general a man’s upper eyelid crease is lower than a woman’s and the eyebrow is more level (as you probably get a more masculine look by squinting and lowering your brow.)
These features have to be preserved in blepharoplasty for men to preserve the masculine look of the face. Another big factor is not over-correcting a man’s eyelid when performing male blepharoplasty. Men’s eyelids will look different than they did in their youth and blepharoplasty for men should acknowledge this subtle difference.
For Blepharoplasty, Which Would Be More Competent…An Oculoplastic Surgeon Or A Regular Plastic Surgeon?
Oculoplastic Surgery vs. Plastic Surgery for Eyelid Surgery Great question! Oculoplastic or Eye Plastic Surgery Training is more specialized than General Plastic Surgery. This additional specialist training is the foundation of expertise in Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery.
As an Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon in Dubai, super-specializing in the eyes, I have spent much more time than a general plastic surgeon on advanced eye plastic surgery, and have spent many years instructing other eye surgeons on the topic.
Second level of expertise is based on types of experience (training pursued after residency, years spent during and after formal training on specific types of procedures, teaching others his craft, before and after photos to show). Hope this helps!
Eye Injury Caused Eye To Be Bigger, Can Plastic Surgery Fix It?
Bigger Eye Eyelid Surgery Eyelid plastic surgery or cosmetic eyelid surgery – maybe this is the choice for you. A qualified doctor can look at your eyes to help you determine if your asymmetrical eyes can be fixed with surgery.
A well-trained surgeon in the area of Oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery would be able to do corrective surgery on your eyes that would be most appropriate for you. Do your homework before going into eye surgery.
What Is The Average Age For Eyelid Surgery? I Am 25 Years Old And Thinking About Upper Eyelid Surgery
25 years old is young to elect for cosmetic surgery so I suggest consulting with a qualified Oculofacial cosmetic surgeon who will understand what it is you want and help determine the best approach for you.
I recently performed upper lid eye lift surgery on a young woman who had a similar problem – although hers was not asymmetry to the eyes (as it seems to be slightly in your case judging from the photos). There was a bit of extra skin that made a little hood for her upper eyelids.
People always thought she looked tired and could never get her eye makeup on her top lids right. She healed with natural results, artistically removing the excess skin so no one knows she’s had any surgery and is now happy with her bright-eyed appearance.
You’re young, you don’t want to look like you’ve had surgery to correct a perceived problem.
Sore And Tender Upper And Lower Eyelids 9 Weeks Post Op?
It can take 7 months to a year for the healing process to complete after eyelid surgery swelling for blepharoplasty. Your case is unique, you had combination procedures (Ptosis surgery, lower eyelid surgery). If you are worried, you should talk to your doctor.
Am I A Candidate For Blepharoplasty For Bags And Hollowness?
You have puffiness under your eyes and you are trying to “mask” it with Restylane filler and it is a temporary fix and you are looking for a more permanent fix.
If you choose to have the fat surgically removed, you may be a candidate for lower eyelid surgery. Hollowness is also a problem so you may want to do a comprehensive procedure in fat repositioning. I am an oculofacial cosmetic surgeon in Dubai for more than 16 years and I really recommend you see a qualified doctor who knows your goals and can give you a natural result from blepharoplasty.
Are There Any Exercises For Droopy Eyelids That Can Improve Upper Eyelid Muscle Tone And Result In Lifting Them?
I am an Oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with more than 16 years experience and I can tell you that there are no exercises to tone the muscles in your upper eyelid. Eye lift surgery (sometimes called eyelid ptosis surgery) can correct droopy eyelids. But a proper consultation with a qualified cosmetic surgeon will help you decide what is the right treatment for your eye lift.
Had Upper/Lower Blepharoplasty 4 Weeks Ago, Can I Dye My Lashes?
The typical healing time for upper/lower blepharoplasty is about 2-3 weeks, but I suggest asking your cosmetic eyelid surgeon as you don’t want to take chances with complications.
How Long Does It Take For Blepharoplasty Incision To Heal?
The incision after eyelid surgery fades. It is still very early days and the incision marks from the eyelid surgery should heal fine and fade in 7 months to 1 and half year. You might want to follow up with your doctor for advice on the healing process for your blepharoplasty.
I would recommend avoiding the sun and wearing sunscreen to prevent the scarring from getting darker as it heals.
How Long Stitches Stay In After Eyelid Surgery?
Sutures are commonly removed approximately 2 weeks post blepharoplasty. You’re slightly late on your blepharoplasty follow-up with your doctor, three weeks out, and you don’t want to get an infection.
How Long Does A Lower Blepharoplasty Last?
Results of eye lift surgery are long-lasting. That’s great that you are happy with your blepharoplasty results. That said, you won’t have to redo your surgery as long as you maintain a proper diet, sleep, exercise and skin care.
A well performed eyelift surgery can turn the clock of aging back by as much as 16 years. If you want to enhance the look of your face still, you may want to consider non-surgical enhancements like Pelleve treatment for the eye area, etc. In my Dubai practice, I see many patients who come to me for revisional eyelid surgery after having had one or two attempts by their original surgeon and want us to correct problems.
How To Get Rid Of Puffy Upper Eyelids?
If you are annoyed by the excess skin or fat that causes the puffiness on your upper eyelid, then a cosmetic upper eyelid blepharoplasty is the best option for you. See photos of upper eye lift surgery before and after.
How To Get Rid Of Cheek Festoons?
Fluid in this area can be due to several factors such as sinus and allergy. These festoons may be due to You may want to see if you have sinus or allergy problems that are causing the swelling in the upper part of your cheeks under your eyes.
We have had success in our practice in treatment of some cases of malar swelling with nonsurgical treatment such as Pelleve Skin tightening for the eyes and face and Fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing for the eye area and face.
And maybe it is best to wait a few more weeks and just see the progress. As a Cosmetic Oculofacial Plastic surgeon in Dubai I may also recommend a lower eyelid surgery (with proper festoons evaluation). The lower lid blepharoplasty is used to correct the bags (buggy eyes) or festoons that appear under the eyes and make a person look angry or tired.
How Long Does Swelling Last After Lower Blepharoplasty? Eye Bags Still There After Blepharoplasty
Swelling can last months after eyelid surgery. If a patient is worried about a fat pocket that is left behind after blepharoplasty, at my practice in Dubai, I recommend waiting at least a month before considering additional surgery for bags under the eyes. Talk it over with your cosmetic surgeon after the correct recovery time.
Had Lower Skin Pinch Lower Blepharoplasty 6 Days Ago. Eyes Still Very Puffy. What Should I Do?
I see patients with eye lift surgery who have swelling under their eyes on a daily basis after blepharoplasty. Swelling after eyelid surgery varies from person to person and can last from one week up to one month.
With even minimal trauma from a lower lid skin pinch blepharoplasty, you can still have noticeable swelling and puffiness under the eyes during the recovery period. If you have the lower eyelid pinch bleph you may find the first 3 days that the swelling is at the highest. You can usually use warm compresses for your puffy eyes and go about normal activity (moving, blinking, talking, smiling) at 6 days.
A skin pinch eyelid surgery removes a small amount of skin and is less traumatic than a standard blepharoplasty where fat or other surgery is removed. But in my 17 years of practice I’ve seen a wide variation in recovery after eyelid surgery, a lot of swelling for a little procedure and virtually no swelling for a lot of surgery.
You can remember that your eyes are very sensitive to trauma of any kind if you have had particles or debris go into your eyes or rubbed your eye because of allergies. Following eyelid surgery, I would advise you to adhere to the instructions provided by your eyelid surgeon. If there is nothing urgent then your prognosis should be good with the swelling going down after eyelift surgery.
What Is More Invasive, A Brow Lift Or Upper Blephroplasty?
I am a Cosmetic Oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Dubai specializing in eye lift surgery and brow lift surgery. When I see patients, we have to decide whether they need a brow lift or an upper blepharoplasty.
In some cases, depending upon the results someone is looking to achieve with eye or facial cosmetic surgery, a combination of brow lift surgery and upper eye lift surgery (or blepharoplasty) may be necessary. When having a brow lifting surgery (or when doing the surgery) care must be taken not to overdo the brows as this could lead to a “perpetually surprised” look or expression if the brows become too arched.
If a brow lift and eye lift are performed at the same time: After the brow lift, the amount of excess skin to be removed from the lids can then be determined. Both brow lift and blepharoplasty are invasive surgical procedures but for different cosmetic goals.
How To Get Rid Of Multiple Eyelid Creases?
I understand your point but there are many factors that need to be taken into consideration before you decide to have blepharoplasty or upper eyelid surgery. You should see a specialist who has experience with protruding eyes before you do anything.
Swelling After Blepharoplasty – Will I Ever Be Able To Look Up Normally Again?
If the limitation in eye movement is related to swelling from the eye lift surgery (or blepharoplasty), then there should be improvement with resolution of the swelling.
Can’t Close Eyes After Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty. Lubricate eyes well at night. In my practice, I tell my patients they should have no problem closing their eyes after having blepharoplasty. It is important that you lubricate your eyes properly with artificial tears and ointment (at night). See an eye doctor to help you avoid problems from eye exposure.
Eye Bags Still There After Lower Blepharoplasty?
Eyelift. Wait until healed and swelling subsides. Swelling can persist for months after surgery. In my practice if a patient was concerned about a fat pocket remaining I suggest waiting at least a month before considering additional surgery.
Wrinkles Under Eyes After Lower Blepharoplasty?
Fractional CO2 Laser or Skin Tightening for removing wrinkles under eyes. Puffiness under the eyes can mask wrinkles that are already there. In my practice I offer people with darker skin options such as the Mixto SX microfractional CO2 laser and Pelleve’. Permanence is relative, but you can expect results from these treatments to last for years depending on your health and lifestyle.
How To Minimize Scarring After Blepharoplasty?
Commonly visible scars are a common problem and a common reason that patients are referred to my practice. I tell my prospective patients that there is an art to doing blepharoplasty so that the eyes look natural and don’t have obvious signs of being operated on.
There may be some options such as revising the scar so it isn’t wide however the fact that it is wide may mean there is a relative lack of skin. If your surgeon has nothing more to offer, it may be the right next step for you to get additional opinions.
What Can Go Wrong With Blepharoplasty And CO2 Laser?
Working closely with your doctor is important to prevent the lower eyelids from pulling down. The CO2 laser is good at reducing wrinkles (I use the MixtoSX Microfractional CO2 laser in my practice routinely) but the heat from the laser can cause the skin to contract significantly. It’s difficult to get a full diagnosis without examination
How Long Does It Take For Stitches To Dissolve After Blepharoplasty?
If the dissolving stitches are 7-0 fast absorbing plain gut sutures they should be well dissolved by 10 days after having your eye lift and face lift. In my practice I usually see my patients in 6-8 days to remove any dissolving stitches that have not dissolved completely.
Corrective Measures For Eyelid Closure Problems After Blepharoplasty?
I have patients with this problem from all over the world who come to me to get help for eye lift revision or corrective surgery for an eyelift they had with another surgeon. The reason for this problem is mostly the lower eyelid retraction (the lower eyelid is not on the same level as the border of the colored part of the eye).
Proper examination and performing the right eyelift procedure or corrective procedures can probably give you some improvement of your problem with closing your eyes after having had blepharoplasty surgery to your eyes.
Does Eyelid Surgery Leave Scars?
The incision lines can be placed to be not obvious and barely noticeable depending on the type of eyelid surgery you will have.
I make the incision in the upper eyelids in the natural crease of the upper eyelids. If an external incision is needed in the lower eyelids (often I do the procedure from behind the lower eyelids), it can be placed strategically below the eyelashes to minimize the visibility of scarring.
How Long Does It Take For Stitches To Dissolve?
Dissolvable stitches take about 2 weeks to dissolve after surgery. If the dissolvable stitches are 7-0 fast absorbing plain gut sutures they should be well dissolved. In my practice I usually see my patients in 6-8 days to remove any dissolving stitches that have not dissolved completely.
What Is The Best Procedure For Droopy Eyelids?
Drooping eyelids can be corrected with surgery. Surgery is not something anyone wants. With all the miracle creams and “non-invasive” procedures, it is self evident that a practice such as mine sees so many people that require surgery. In my practice I’ve been able to take the stress and difficulty out of having surgery to the point I feel like we’ve made it less stressful than most dental procedures. It’s important to use your time and resources wisely.
I see too many people who bought into the hype of non-invasive procedures and then were disappointed and still needed properly performed surgery.
Do I Need A Brow Lift Or Blepharoplasty?
Browlift or Blephaphorplasty? If you have noticed your eyebrows have drooped or they are lower than they have been in the past then the answer to this question is yes.
It is common to perform a brow lift to reduce the excess tissue over the eyes and then do the blepharoplasty (upper eyelids) after 4-7 months to allow the eyebrows to settle (depending on the technique used to lift the eyebrows). Your best option is a cosmetic upper eyelid blepharoplasty, if excess skin on the upper eyelid is your main concern.
Will I Be Able To Close My Eyes After Eyelid Surgery?
In most cases, eyelid surgery will allow the eyes to close. A common myth is that people cannot close their eyes after eye lid surgery. This may be true temporarily in procedures such as ptosis surgery (drooping eyelid muscle) or when eyelid surgery is combined with significant eyebrow lifting surgery, but normally the eyes should be able to close comfortably.
In my practice I tell my patients that there should be no problem with eye closure after cosmetic eyelid surgery. Cosmetic eyelid surgery should improve and restore the natural look of the eyes. That means not taking too much skin from the upper and lower eyelids, and doing things to prevent the lower eyelid from being pulled down.
When Can I Wear Contacts After Blepharoplasty?
The standard advice is to wait about 2 to 3 weeks after Eyelid surgery before wearing contact lenses.
It is normal to have a little decrease in tear production after eyelid surgery so it is a good idea to have contact lens lubricating drops. Of course it is important not to stretch the eyelids to place the contact lenses and to ensure that your hands and contact lenses are sterile.
Upper Eyelid Hollowness With Ptosis. What Do You Recommend?
I think you are a good candidate for surgery for ptosis. I would advise you get that done first before you consider any volume augmentation. More open eyes may be enough to make you feel socially welcome.
I’m 22 Years Old And I Had Ptosis In My Left Eye After Giving Birth, Can Pregnancy Cause Ptosis?
Give it time and allow your eyelid to heal to determine whether your ptosis surgery was successful in correcting your drooping eye. The most common type of ptosis in adults is called involutional ptosis.
It is caused by stretching or thinning of the muscle that raises the eyelids. I cannot tell if your ptosis was from giving birth (rare) or other reasons. For follow up, I would recommend that you speak with the surgeon who performed your ptosis surgery.
Can You Have Eyelid Surgery Twice?
Depending on anatomic changes such as excess skin and development of eyelid drooping (“ptosis”), your eyelids can be treated more than once in your lifetime.
I Believe My Daughter Needs Ptosis Surgery, But She Doesn’t. Should I Force It?
As a Cosmetic Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon specializing in eyelid surgery in Dubai I think it is best to wait. If there is no reason to do surgery for vision affected by ptosis, it is best to hold off on doing the eyelid surgery, although there may be social reasons to do ptosis surgery sooner for a drooping eyelid.
This type of eyelid surgery is easier with the patient cooperation as the muscles in eyelid are very sensitive. In children surgery is done with very objective measurements and we expect that the results from ptosis surgery will be close to ideal.
We cooperate with the patients on older patients, thus we are able to have the patient open and close eyes in order to do precise measurements and ensure the eyes will match as much as possible after ptosis eyelid surgery. From my practice, and 21 years of experience, the safest way to perform eyelid surgery is under local anesthesia with light IV sedation.
Ptosis Surgery Strange Results
Swelling of the eyelids can be significant and can last for up to 7 months to 1 and a half year. If the eyelid level does not improve after the next 3 months, a second surgery may be indicated.
Heavy Eyelids. In Picture It Looks Like I’m About To Blink. What Can I Do?
Heavy Eyelids: Upper Eyelift Surgery Versus Ptosis Surgery. I am a board certified Oculofacial Cosmetic Surgeon in Dubai City. From what you have described, you either have excess skin on/above your upper eyelid OR weak levator muscles of your eyelids (ptosis).
Pictures would be better but you need to see a qualified surgeon who can best determine what type of blepharoplasty candidate you are: upper eyelid lift surgery OR eyelid lift surgery.
What On Earth Is Wrong With My Eyes?
Unequal eyes. Your photos make it hard to tell, but facial asymmetry is normal and natural. But it is the relationship of the eyes to the face that matters when trying to determine balance of the face. You do have almond shaped eyes so a full photo at a normal angle would help better.
If it’s that important to you, you should consult with a board certified oculofacial cosmetic surgeon who understands the face and eyes better to better understand your goals and a possible way to help you.
How Do You Fix Asymmetrical Eyelids? Will Eyelid Tape Help Improve The Low Crease Line On One Of My Eyes After Asymmetrical Upper Bleph?
The crease position after blepharoplasty of the upper eyelid should correspond with the incision. There might be some differences in swelling. Tape will likely not make much of a difference. Before you do anything on your own, discuss this asymmetry with your eyelid surgeon.
What Causes Droopy Eyes Or Uneven Eyes?
Genetics and certain lifestyles such as smoking, sun worshiping, excessive weight gain or high stress are more likely to cause droopy eyelids. Usually sleeping on your face isn’t so much a huge factor.
If it is something that concerns you, I would recommend that you see a qualified doctor who can better tell if you need any treatment.
After Upper Eyelid Surgery, Woke Up With Asymmetry, And Droopiness. Options
You should check back with your eyelid surgeon to make sure everything is healing properly and to discuss any concerns you have as it heals. It is early days yet and the asymmetry may be due to swelling and swelling can take several weeks to resolve.
How To Fix Uneven Eyelids?
Facial asymmetry is normal. It is normal. Hard to tell from the picture since you only show your eyes, not the whole face. The relationship of your eyes to your face is important in determining facial balance. If you are so concerned about this, you should see a qualified oculofacial cosmetic surgeon who understands the face and eyes before you decide to do the surgery yourself.
Uneven Eyes. Would It Help If I Wore My Glasses More Often?
Don’t Know Question If you find yourself squinting, glasses may help ease the burden on your eyes. If you have uneven eyes, you may want to see a qualified oculofacial surgeon about your asymmetrical eyes.
Do Eyedrops Correct Asymmetry After Blepharoplasty?
Eye drops can help keep your eyes moist, so they don’t dry out and become irritated, but they won’t fix asymmetry or change the shape of the eyes. Healing after blepharoplasty may take anywhere from 8-12 days and swelling may last 7-11 months.
You had blepharoplasty on both eyes, and it is too early to tell if your eyes are indeed asymmetrical. I would recommend that you discuss your care and concerns with your eyelid surgeon.
How Do You Fix Asymmetrical Eyelids After Blepharoplasty?
I am a cosmetic oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and I tell my prospective patients that there is an art to blepharoplasty, to make the eyes look natural and balanced and not have the tell-tale signs of having been operated on. Many patients who have had eyelid surgery in Manhattan come to my practice for “revisional surgery” after being unhappy with results from other surgeons.
What Can I Do To Fix My Uneven Eyelids?
A thorough evaluation by an oculofacial cosmetic surgeon specializing in the area is essential to diagnose the asymmetry in your eyes and to discuss the options available to correct your unequal eyelids. Being an Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgeon with a super-specialty in eyelid surgery in Dubai, I gather it may be caused by ptosis, or drooping of the eyelid.
Hollow Eyes Treatment, What Are My Options?
If you have hollowness under your eyes, I would recommend either a hyaluronic acid injectable filler (Restylane or Juvederm) or a “Vampire Facelift” to add volume there.
I treat many patients in my Dubai practice who have hollow eyes and dark circles as a concern. Consultation with a specialized is required for treatment advice.
Hollow And Asymmetrical Eyes After Blepharoplasty?
You need to contact your doctor and look at the photos taken before the operation. People often notice the asymmetrical features they naturally have after surgery because they study their faces in more detail after surgery than pre-surgery.
Eyelid incisions are generally thicker at 2 months after surgery and do not require topical medical treatment. In my Dubai practice, I routinely do facelifts with eyelid surgery and usually wait at least 4 months before I would consider placing volume enhancing fillers.
What Is The Best Treatment For Under Eye Hollows?
Some of the less invasive treatments for hollowing eyes are those that benefit from injecting volume into the eye area.
I’ve seen so many people who need my help after having injectables done wrong and end up looking “lumpy” and with lots of irregularities so it’s important you get the help of a qualified professional.
Filler with hyaluronic acid (Restylane, for example) can be injected along the rim of the eye and under the brow. Also, PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma and PRFM or Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix is very useful for hollow eyes. PRP or PRFM, also known as the Vampire Facelift, is something I offer in Dubai, utilizing platelets and growth factors from your own blood to be used as an injectable filler to the eye area with volume loss.
Some of your body’s natural collagen is being generated with The Vampire Facelift or PRP injections, so this method helps to build collagen and thicken the skin when the sunken appearance becomes more pronounced. You can improve your look by improving skin quality (with lasers or chemical peels) and adding volume around the eyes (with Vampire Facelift PRP or Restylane).
How To Fix Sunken Eyes? Options?
There are some sunken eye treatments that are less invasive and good for adding volume to the eye area.
Hyaluronic acid fillers (ex: Restylane) can also be injected around the rim of the eye and underneath the brow. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) are also very helpful for sunken eyes, often called the Vampire Facelift, which I also offer in my Dubai clinic. Blood is drawn, and platelets and growth factors are taken from the blood and used as an injectable filler in areas of the eye that have lost volume.
The benefits of the The Vampire Facelift or PRP injections is that some of your body’s natural collagen is being produced. So when the sunken look gets worse, this approach helps to develop collagen and thicken the skin.
As you age, the amount of soft tissue, bone and fat begins to decrease. So, if you have deep set eyes, you may naturally look like you have more of a sunken eyed look. There’s no 100% perfect solution for deep set eyes, because that is a function of your anatomy, the locations of your eyes relative to the bone are specific.
However, you cannot push the eyes out but you can improve skin quality (with lasers or chemical peels) and add volume around the eyes (with PRP or Restylane) but it has to be done artfully by a qualified doctor able to perform these cosmetic eye treatments. I’ve seen a lot of people who need my help after having kit wrong and looking “lumpy” after having injectables and creating too many irregularities.
Volume Loss Under Eyes And Cheeks. Have Tried Fat Transfer, Restylane, Radiesse With No Results. Other Options?
Under Eye & Cheek Volume Loss Vampire Facelift®. You have not had any luck with Restylane or Radiesse, so I may suggest a non-surgical procedure I do for my patients at my Dubai clinic called the Vampire Facelift®.
The Vampire Facelift® is a special way to use the natural growth factors in your own blood with a filler like Restylane or Juvederm to help you look younger. You take your own blood and process it to separate the platelets (the cells that stimulate collagen for healing) from the other major components of blood (this is called “platelet rich plasma” or “PRP”). The platelets are processed and made into a plate rich fibrin matrix (PRFM) which turns into a gel.
PRFM is a gel-like substance so it is similar to other fillers and can be used to sculpt the face. Growth factors activate the skin’s stem cells. The stem cells then produce: New Skin New Blood Flow New Collagen New Tissue

How To Get Rid Of Sunken Eyes?
I would propose a hyaluronic acid injectable filler or a Vampire Facelift for volume in that area. I do sometimes tear-trough implant surgery on my patients with a tear trough deformity.
Tear trough implants are composed of silicone, a soft rubbery substance that is inserted through a small incision and positioned over the bone mass beneath the eyelid to enhance its shape and produce a more youthful look. You need to have proper consultation for treatment advice.
Dark Circles Under Eyes After Lower Blepharoplasty?
Dark circles under the eyes after eyelid surgery: The skin may be a little darker for a short time (especially in people who tan easily).
Dark circles under the eyes are a combination of ethnic pigmentation, skin thickness, vascularity, allergies and other factors: In my Dubai practice I tell my post-blepharoplasty patients to use an under eye cream with sunblock and usually the skin color returns to its normal pigmentation. I even created a line of medical grade skin care products to help my patients maintain their skin post surgery including Eye Rescue and an antioxidant sunscreen.
Dark Circles Under Eyes After Lower Blepharoplasty, Can They Be Fixed?
After eyelid surgery, some temporary darkening of the skin may occur, especially in those who tan easily. In my Dubai practice I tell my patients to use an under eye cream with sunblock after blepharoplasty and usually the skin color returns to normal pigmentation. I even created a medical skin care line to help my patients keep their skin health after surgery.
How Can I Improve The Skin Around My Eyes After Lower Blepharoplasty?
Maybe there was too much fat in it. A qualified professional can perform laser skin resurfacing that may help to get rid of the dark circles under your eyes.
The Micro Fractional CO2 Laser treatment leaves skin smooth, firm and even toned, dramatically improving skin texture and color. Also, at my practice in Dubai, after a proper consultation, to see if I might offer PRP or platelet rich plasma injections combined with a hyaluronic acid filler to help fill out the hollowing beneath eyes and restore color to the skin.
“In my years of experience skin maintenance is important following surgery, I formulated a medical grade line of skin care products in which we carry Eye Rescue by Perfect Doctors Clinic to reduce dark circles and has vitamins to help nourish the delicate skin around the eye.
How To Treat Dark Circles Under Eyes?
Allergies, genetics, sun exposure and even smoking can cause dark circles under the eyes. After a proper skin examination we can determine the best plan. In my practice in Dubai, treatment options may include topical creams, chemical peels, and lasers.
I use the Mixto SX microfractional CO2 laser for dark circles from sun damage with very nice results. A proper diagnosis is needed before selecting a procedure.
Does Insurance Pay For Blepharoplasty?
Insurance does not cover blepharoplasty in most cases. Usually, the simple answer is no. If you have ptosis or excess skin that blocks your vision, insurance companies will require very specific vision tests and photo documentation before they will approve the surgery. Sometimes a procedure may be approved due to medical necessity.
But if approved the insurance company will have an amount they deem normal for the procedure and for the area in which it is performed. In a private cosmetic practice, often that amount covers only a fraction of the real cost of surgery.
The specialty at play in these surgeries is rarely considered by insurance companies. My recommendation is to take care of your insurance company first. Get their OK. Submit it all your is dotted and t’s crossed then knock on wood and cross your fingers that the claim will process.
